The Busker’s Festival.

They come from all over the world and are called Buskers. Talented people from all walks of life,  arrive in New Zealand for two weeks to entertain the citizens of Christchurch with juggling acts, magical shows; comedy presentations and amazing acrobatics, all on the sidewalks or in the parks of the city.

The Christchurch Council plans and executes this extravanganza on an annual basis, supporting the performers by offering free or cheap accommodation. There is also a grand finale, with all the acts completing for cash prizes from the people of Christchurch. The populace flocks to the inner city every year to watch the extraordinary, capitivating perfomances.
